The Medicine Quality Research Group is looking for a Software Engineer and Data Scientist, to join the planning and execution of software development projects at the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health.
The Software Engineer and Data Scientist will be a key member of the Medicine Quality Research Group to lead and coordinate the informatics and data science across the seven teams working on an innovative project and construct a network of secure and straightforward informatics to link them, from sample identification to data flows and visualization and appropriate systems for use of the epidemiological data for social network analysis and modelling of the impact of substandard and falsified antimicrobials on patient outcome and antimicrobial resistance.
The role will be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis, design and implementation, to testing and maintenance. You will lead the planning and coordination of software development projects, come up with innovative solutions to complex problems, and drive concepts through to practical realisation with the aim to improve global public health.
